At Hire Abroad, our mission has always been to make international recruitment a simpler, smarter, and more effective process for everyone involved. Because when recruiters, agencies, and candidates are satisfied, we are as well.

Technology and software are only useful if they evolve with the market and cater to user needs. This is why we regularly refine our platform to minimise friction, speed up workflows, and deliver better insights. With this round of updates, we introduced powerful new tools, improved matching, cleaned up our profile section, and put more emphasis on feedback. All for you to work faster and with more confidence.

Here’s what’s new, why it matters, and how it will help you.

For Recruiters: More Visibility, Better Matching

Recruiters are at the heart of Hire Abroad, and our latest updates focus on helping them improve transparency, profile, quality, and candidate engagement. All with the mission to help them male more placements with confidence, data-backed decisions, and less guesswork.

Candidate Email Logs (Coming Soon)

Wondering if your candidate actually opened your email? Soon, you’ll know.

A new Email Logs tab inside each candidate profile will allow you to track delivery, opens, clicks, and more. This makes follow-ups smarter and ensures you don’t waste time chasing cold leads.

Candidate Surveys & Feedback

We’re rolling out candidate surveys to capture first-hand insights directly from the people you place. This aims to help you refine your strategy, and helps employment agencies address potential problems with work, accommodation, or transport. All in all, it serves as a

  • Responses will live in the new Survey Responses tab.
  • A new Feedback Survey Filter lets you quickly find candidates who have shared feedback.
  • We’re also refining the candidate feedback form (coming soon) to capture more detailed insights—including updated phone numbers to make follow-ups easier.

Vacancy Prioritization (Coming Soon)

We’re making it easier to place candidates in the right jobs, faster. The “Matching Vacancies” list on candidate profiles will soon score and rank roles based on:

  • Average duration of stay
  • Hours worked per person
  • Speed and ratio of confirmations

This means the best-fit vacancies will rise to the top, saving you time and increasing successful placements.

Offer Exclusivity

No more losing candidates at the last minute. Once a candidate accepts an offer, they can no longer switch to another recruiter. This gives you the fair opportunity to complete the placement and keeps momentum on your side.

Block “Not Available” Candidates

Tired of filtering through profiles that can’t be placed? With one click, you can now block candidates marked as “Not Available”, keeping your pipeline clean and focused.

Last Login Column & Filter

Not sure who’s still active? A Last Login filter shows when candidates were last online, so you can target fresh, active profiles instead of chasing inactive ones.

Profile Picture Preview & Download

Visual verification just got easier. You can now view and download candidate profile pictures directly from their profile page.

Default Sort Order

Candidate lists now default to newest registrations first, ensuring you always see the freshest sign-ups without manually sorting.

For Agencies & Admins: Smarter Oversight, Cleaner Data

Handling candidate data and overseeing several recruitment processes is no easy task. During the summer, we released a handful of updates that give admins and agencies more control, while trying to minimise legwork as much as possible.

Automatic Daily Duplicate-Candidate Check & Merging

Every 24 hours, Hire Abroad now automatically identifies duplicate profiles. Admins can merge them into a single active profile, while retaining important information like past employment history and secondary emails. Cleaner data, less confusion, and better matching accuracy.

Preset Filters Everywhere

Your favorite saved filters are now available across all list pages and not just when handling candidate profiles. Apply them in one click whether you’re browsing candidates, vacancies, or applications.

“Select All” in Candidate Filters

What if you are looking for something and need to filter by agencies or recruiters? You can now select all at once instead of ticking boxes one by one. A small but powerful time-saver.

For Candidates: A Smoother, More Supportive Journey

Lastly, we shouldn’t forget that recruitment is all about the people, i.e., the candidates. Our latest updates make sure they feel heard and supported.

Feedback Collection Initiative

As hinted above, we are putting even more emphasis on feedback.Starting this summer, we’ll send out a weekly feedback survey to all candidates who have recently arrived at their jobs. This initiative helps us (and you) better understand how they’re settling in.

Why it matters:

  • You’ll receive regular summaries of candidate feedback.
  • Recruiters can use this to stay closer to new hires with simple check-ins.
  • Candidates feel supported and heard, this enables you to build trust and long-term relationships.

Fixes & Improvements: Small Tweaks, Big Impact

Improving user experience isn’t just about functionality. It’s also about everyday usability. Alongside major features, we’ve implemented several quality-of-life fixes that make your day-to-day smoother:

  • Registration Date Filter now includes candidates from the final day of your selected range.
  • Filter by Agency + Status delivers more accurate results.
  • Improved Search Accuracy when combining agency and status filters.
  • Clickable Agency Application Guidelines (no more copy-pasting URLs).
  • Recruiter Info Updates bug fixed, meaning, you can now reliably edit recruiter company and country fields.
  • Accurate Tab Names in candidate profiles.
  • New Tab Scrolling Fixes prevent pages from jumping to the top when opening candidates or vacancies in new tabs.

Why These Updates Matter

The success of the recruitment process highly depends on accuracy, speed, and trust. With each of these fixes and features, we aim to help you:

  • Work faster with smarter filters and sorting.
  • Trust your data with duplicate prevention and merging.
  • Engage better with candidates through surveys, feedback, and email insights.
  • Protect your placements with exclusivity and vacancy prioritization.
  • Save time with everyday usability improvements.

What’s Next

These 2025 summer updates are just a few new additions to our ongoing commitment to making international recruitment better and accessible for everyone. Smarter vacancy matching, better recruiter exposure, improved candidate feedback tools, and even more powerful recruiter insights are on the horizon.

As always, your feedback shapes our roadmap. Keep sharing your ideas: we’re building this platform for you.
